How to launch a token on BNB Chain with Flap

Flap (flap.sh) is a token launchpad on BNB Chain, also known as BSC. Tokens start on a Flap bonding curve and migrate to PancakeSwap when they graduate. This guide walks through each step of launching a token on BNB Chain with Flap, using hoodlums.wtf as your BSC token launcher.

What you need

  • A launch wallet, created or imported in your browser. There's no other wallet to connect.
  • BNB on BNB Chain in that wallet: enough for the 0.002 BNB hoodlums fee and gas, plus any dev buy.
  • A logo, a name and a ticker for your token.
  • A choice between a tax token and a token without tax.

Fund your launch wallet

A launch wallet works on BNB Chain from the moment you create it, so there's no network to add. It needs BNB, which pays for gas and the hoodlums fee on every launch. Copy the wallet's address from the launch wallets page and send BNB on BNB Chain to it from any wallet or exchange account that holds some. Make sure it's sent on BNB Chain, not another network.

If the wallet you're sending from doesn't list BNB Chain yet, add it with these details:

Network nameBNB Chain
Chain ID56
RPC URLhttps://bsc-dataseed.bnbchain.org
CurrencyBNB
Block explorerhttps://bscscan.com

If your token will trade against a quote token other than BNB and you want a dev buy, the wallet also needs enough of that token for the buy.

Launching from a fresh dev wallet

Traders can see how many tokens a wallet has launched, and some pass on wallets they recognise. To start clean, create another launch wallet, send it enough BNB for the launch, select it and launch as usual. You keep its private key, and your share of the tax is paid to the wallet you launch from, so keep that key safe.

How a Flap launch works

The Flap launchpad runs on a contract called the Portal. To create a meme coin on BSC with Flap, you don't write or deploy a contract yourself: one call to the Portal creates your token, with a supply of 1 billion and 18 decimals, and opens trading on its bonding curve. Buyers trade against your quote token on the curve, and Flap takes 1% of those trades. When the token graduates, Flap migrates it to PancakeSwap.

Before your wallet pays anything, hoodlums.wtf uploads your logo and metadata to Flap, so a failed upload costs nothing. It then finds a token address with the ending Flap requires: 7777 for a tax token, or 8888 for a token without tax. Finally it simulates the launch, and only then sends the hoodlums fee and the launch.

Flap tokens come in two kinds. A tax token charges a buy and sell tax that you share out however you like. A token without tax has no tax on trades. Most of the choices below only apply to tax tokens.

Launch your token, step by step

  1. Create a launch wallet

On the launch wallets page, create a wallet and save its private key somewhere safe, or import a key you already have. It signs your launches right in your browser, with no wallet pop-ups.

  2. Fund it with BNB on BNB Chain

Send BNB on BNB Chain to the wallet's address: enough for the 0.002 BNB hoodlums fee and gas, plus any dev buy. Flap charges no launch fee.

  3. Add a logo, name and ticker

Open the BNB Chain launcher and upload a PNG, JPG or WebP logo up to 5 MB, then enter your token's name and ticker. A description is optional.

  4. Add your socials

Paste your X, website and Telegram links. They're uploaded to Flap with your logo and description as your token's metadata.

  5. Choose a tax token or no tax

A tax token charges a buy and sell tax and gets an address ending in 7777. A token without tax gets an address ending in 8888.

  6. Set the tax and where it goes

For a tax token, set a buy and sell tax of up to 10% each. Then share the tax between your wallet, holders as dividends, burning and liquidity. The shares must add up to 100%.

  7. Pick a quote token

Leave it on BNB, or pick another quote token Flap accepts for new launches right now, such as USDT. Buyers trade in the quote token, and your share of the tax is paid in it.

  8. Add a dev buy if you want one

Enter an amount of the quote token to buy your own token in the launch transaction, before anyone else can buy. Leave it at 0 to launch without one.

  9. Review the total and launch

Check the total against your wallet's balance, then press Launch. Your logo and metadata go to Flap, the launcher finds your token's address, and your launch wallet sends the 0.002 BNB hoodlums fee, then the launch, with no pop-ups.

  10. Share your token

When the launch confirms, copy your token's address to share it, view the transaction on BscScan, or open the token on Flap or Axiom.

Launch settings explained

Tax token or no tax

Pick a tax token if you want to earn from trades. As of September 2026, Flap only lets a token without tax pay its LP fees to holders as dividends once it migrates. It doesn't allow paying them to your wallet, so pick a tax token to earn from trades.

Buy and sell tax

Each can be up to 10%, and a tax token needs at least one of them above 0%. Flap's own app offers 1%, 3%, 5% and 10%. If Flap rejects a rate, the launcher tells you when it simulates the launch, before any fee is paid.

Where the tax goes

A tax token shares its tax out in four parts that must add up to 100%:

  • Your wallet: paid in the quote token to the wallet you launch from.
  • Holders: paid out as dividends to wallets holding a minimum amount of your token.
  • Burned: tax used to burn your token.
  • Liquidity: tax added to your token's liquidity.

New launches send all of it to your wallet unless you change the shares. Your wallet's share is paid after Flap's cut of up to 0.3% of trade volume. Dividends can be paid in the quote token or in the token itself, and only to wallets holding at least the minimum you set, which can't be lower than 10,000 tokens.

Quote token

Most launches trade against BNB. The launcher also checks 31 other quote tokens, including USDT, USD1, BTCB, ETH, SOL and tokenized stocks, and offers the ones Flap accepts for new launches right now. With a quote token other than BNB, buyers trade in it and your share of the tax is paid in it, while gas and the hoodlums fee are still paid in BNB.

Dev buy

An optional buy of your own token, paid in the quote token and made inside the launch transaction before anyone else can buy, so you hold your token from its first block. With a quote token other than BNB, the launcher approves that token for the buy first if needed. Leave it at 0 to launch without one.

What happens after you launch

Your token trades on its Flap bonding curve straight away, and it migrates to PancakeSwap when it graduates. The success screen lets you copy its address, view the launch transaction on BscScan, or open the token on Flap or Axiom.

On a tax token, your share of the tax is paid in the quote token to the wallet you launched from. To see what others have launched on BNB Chain with hoodlums.wtf, browse BNB Chain token deploys.

What it costs

hoodlums fee0.002 BNB, sent as its own transaction before the launch
Flap launch feeNone
Flap trading fee1% of trades on the bonding curve, and up to 0.3% of trade volume on top for tax tokens
GasPaid in BNB
Dev buyOptional, in the quote token

Before the fee is paid, the launcher checks your wallet holds enough BNB for the fee, the launch and gas, and shows the total. The launch is simulated first too, so a launch that would fail never takes the hoodlums fee. If you opened someone's referral link, 20% of the hoodlums fee goes to them in a separate transaction.

Questions about launching on Flap

Do I need to write code to create a meme coin on BSC?

No. Flap's Portal contract is already deployed on BNB Chain, so a launch is one contract call. The launcher builds that call from the form, and your launch wallet signs it in your browser.

What does it cost to launch a token on BNB Chain with Flap?

The 0.002 BNB hoodlums fee and gas, plus any dev buy. Flap charges no launch fee. It takes 1% of trades on the bonding curve, and tax tokens pay it up to 0.3% of trade volume on top.

Why does my token's address end in 7777 or 8888?

Flap requires it: a tax token's address ends in 7777, and a token without tax ends in 8888. The launcher finds a matching address for your token before the hoodlums fee is paid, which takes a second or two.

Should I launch a tax token or a token without tax?

A tax token lets you earn from trades, because its buy and sell tax is shared between your wallet, holders, burning and liquidity as you choose. As of September 2026, Flap only lets a token without tax pay its LP fees to holders as dividends once it migrates, not to your wallet.

Do I still need BNB if my token trades against USDT?

Yes. Gas and the hoodlums fee are always paid in BNB. A dev buy is paid in the quote token, so the wallet also needs enough USDT for it, and the launcher approves USDT for the buy first.

Why does Flap say my metadata is already used?

Flap refuses a launch whose metadata another Flap token already uses. If you launch the same logo, description and links twice, the launcher first tries other ways of writing the same metadata link. If Flap still refuses, change the description or a social link, then launch again. The hoodlums fee isn't paid until the launch simulates cleanly.

Can I launch from a fresh wallet each time?

Yes. Traders can see how many tokens a wallet has launched, so some creators start each launch from a new wallet. Create another launch wallet, send it BNB on BNB Chain, select it and launch. You keep its private key. Transfers between your own wallets are public on-chain.

Is hoodlums.wtf affiliated with Flap or Binance?

No. hoodlums.wtf is an independent interface for launching tokens through Flap on BNB Chain. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Flap or Binance.

Copy an existing token instead

If you'd rather start from a Flap token that already exists, paste its address, ending in 7777 or 8888, into the vamp bar at the top of the BNB Chain launcher. It copies the token's logo, name, ticker, socials, quote token and taxes. Its tax goes all to your wallet, or you can copy the original's split. If Flap no longer accepts the original's quote token for new launches, your copy trades against BNB.
